Paul Lenz

Paul Lenz is a cornerstone of Northern Nevada’s brass community, known for his versatility, leadership, and decades‑long commitment to music education and performance. A longtime educator at the University of Nevada, Reno, Lenz has shaped generations of young musicians while maintaining an active professional career across the region. In addition to performing with the Reno Jazz Orchestra, he serves as principal trumpet for both the Reno Philharmonic and Reno Chamber Orchestra, plays lead trumpet for Broadway Reno, and co-founded the Great Basin Brass, which has entertained audiences throughout Northern Nevada for more than 30 years.
