Tim Wendel

Tim Wendel is a versatile jazz guitarist, composer, and educator who is based in Colorado rather than Reno, though he has cross-connections to regional players through broader collaborative projects. While his primary musical footprint spans the Philadelphia jazz circuit where he got his start, his master's studies at CU Boulder, and his current base leading the jazz guitar studio at CU Boulder, he has occasionally connected with the Northern Nevada scene through shared personnel—such as performing alongside Reno-based bassist Zack Teran in regional collaborative configurations. Primarily, however, his active performance and recording schedule centers around Colorado and national projects alongside artists like pianist Art Lande, rather than being a fixture of the local Reno jazz community.
