For the Love of Jazz presents NIMBUS at the “Jazz at the Sands” Summer Concert Series on Sunday July 18, 2021.
For The Love Of Jazz is pleased to present NIMBUS at the free “Jazz at the Sands” Summer Concert Series on Sunday, July 18th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Sands Hotel and Casino Pool, Reno. NIMBUS, a "space age fusion" ensemble led by brothers Will and Chris Casaceli fuses traditional jazz harmony with the sounds and grooves of hip-hop, funk, and pop. The group performs original compositions intermixed with forward-thinking arrangements of music by Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk, and John Coltrane. Chris and Will are the group’s primary composers and arrangers, each contributing original compositions as well as collaborative pieces. Join us poolside for an electric evening of groovin jazz. NIMBUS
NIMBUS is a self-described "space-age fusion" ensemble formed by brothers Will and Chris Casaceli. NIMBUS fuses elements of the jazz tradition with grooves and sounds from, hip-hop, funk, and pop. They will be performing original compositions written by the Casaceli brothers themselves intermixed with forward-thinking arrangements of music by Stevie Wonder, Daft Punk, and John Coltrane.
