Gary Mayne

Gary Mayne is a globally accomplished trombonist, educator, and clinician whose career spans jazz, symphonic, Latin, and rock performance. He serves as lead trombonist for the Reno Jazz Orchestra, bringing decades of experience from touring with major ensembles such as the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters. Mayne has presented clinics and masterclasses at top institutions including the Eastman School of Music, Arizona State University, and the University of North Texas, and has performed with symphonies such as the Colorado Symphony and Reno Philharmonic. Originally from Greeley, Colorado, he now resides in Reno, where he also operates Sound Minds Mental Health PLLC, combining his musical and therapeutic expertise to support creative wellness in the community.
