Ethan Swanson

Ethan Swanson is an accomplished jazz trombonist with strong ties to the regional music scene, having studied music and been recognized through the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) before pursuing graduate studies at CU Boulder. As the leader of the Ethan Swanson Quintet, he performs alongside notable local musicians like Jordan Taylor, Val Alexander Collins, Evan Reese, and Lukas Farias, bringing a sophisticated, collaborative approach to local stages such as the Reno Little Theater. His playing anchors the ensemble's vibrant blend of straight-ahead jazz and thoughtful arrangement.
