Dillon Vado

Dillon Vado is a professional drummer, vibraphonist, composer, and educator based primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area. A graduate of the California Jazz Conservatory, he is well-known for his versatility across jazz, Brazilian, and funk grooves, co-leading projects like the vibraphone-forward indie-jazz group Heart Matter and leading his original jazz quintet Never Weather. While his active performing and teaching base is centered in California, his connection to Reno's jazz community stems notably from his frequent participation in the annual Reno Jazz Festival, where he earned accolades including 1st Place College Combo and Best College Rhythm Section player during his college studies.
