David Brennan

Dr. David Brennan is a distinguished saxophonist, conductor, and educator whose career bridges performance and mentorship across the West Coast. A longtime performer in the greater Los Angeles area, Brennan has appeared with ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Long Beach Opera, New West Symphony, Santa Barbara Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, and the Reno Jazz Orchestra. He is also a member of the Encore Saxophone Quartet, winners of the 2016 Beverly Hills National Auditions concert series. Brennan holds Bachelor of Arts, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from UCLA, where he studied saxophone performance, conducting, and music education. Currently, he serves on the faculty of UCLA and La Sierra University, teaching saxophone, chamber music, jazz improvisation, and theory. As the Education Director for the Reno Jazz Orchestra, Brennan is committed to nurturing young musicians and advancing jazz education throughout Nevada and California.
